4 Sing to the LORD, you saints of his;
praise his holy name.
5 For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may remain for a night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning.
10 Hear, O LORD, and be merciful to me;
O LORD, be my help."
11 You turned my wailing into dancing;
you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
12 that my heart may sing to you and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever.

Hey Sam:

Now I have another blog to read...

Hi, Sam!
This is a much delayed response. But here it is:
True and lasting joy comes when you realize how much God rejoices over you. And when you rejoice (smile, dance, leap, clap hands), you start to match what God is doing. He is the most joyful Being in the universe. And you are the unique object, over which He rejoices!
"He will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by His love; He will exult over you with loud singing" (Zephaniah 3: 17b, see also Isaiah 62:5b).
Blessings!
